We need minerals in our diet because they keep our bodies pH level up high enough to fight off disease (disease thrives in low pH levels). Most people don’t get enough minerals from the food they eat because they are eating overprocessed foods. Even if someone is eating a lot of mineral containing foods, it’s difficult to consistently get what you need from our food supply because of the way our soil has been over-farmed and depleted of nutrients.
