So we all know that Valentines Day can be a diet killer, especially if you love all the sweets that come along with this holiday of love. Here are some things to do on Valentines day that will help you stay focused on your healthy weight loss goals.
If giving up chocolate on Valentines Day is considered high treason in your book, ask for dark chocolate Valentines candy instead. You can savor one ounce of lower fat, rich, dark chocolate at 150 calories instead of eating a 4 ounce standard chocolate bar at 530 calories. Dark chocolate has a lower fat content and is much more satisfying than regular milk chocolate, too.
Instead of going out to dinner, plan some non-food-related activities like getting a pedicure or a massage with your Valentines sweetheart. Flowers or tickets to see a romantic play or movie is also a great way to create a Valentine’s memory that you won’t regret the next day!
The ultimate diet-saving Valentines Day activity would have to be scheduling a work out session with you and your honey. Wear your sexiest workout gear (do you own any? Maybe a trip to the mall is in order!) and see where it takes you!
The key to having a great Valentines Day, after all, is spending time with your partner and making it a day you can both enjoy together!
