If you need to lose weight, the weight loss program review guide is designed for you. There are lots of diet programs out there…but which one is the best for you? And what about the diet books? Wouldn’t you like to know which ones are a waste of time…and which are worth a try? Over the years, I’ve tried my fair share of diet programs. My bookshelves are also full of all the trendiest diet books, too…you can get a real world peak wat how these diets work with this weight loss program review guide.

One of the reasons I started this site was to help other people who need to lose weight find the diet program that’s right for them. If there’s one thing I’ve learned is that every body’s different and what works for one person may not work for someone elseyou have to find the diet program that works for you! I hope this weight loss program review guide will help you judge each one of these diets according to your own style and personality. Maybe one of them will work for you!

As for me, I’m still trying…so check back often and see what’s been added.

Here are some reviews of the diet programs I’ve tried. And stay connected to Healthy Living for Moms for more weight loss program reviews.

5 Factor Diet - A favorite diet for Hollywood celebrities, this plan is based on the number 5.

Body for Life Diet - Created by the author of “The Body for Life” book, this weight loss plan incorporates a simple eating program along with cardio and strength training that helps you to lose fat and gain muscle.

The Four Day Win - written by Martha Beck, PhD will “end your diet war and achieve thinner (italics added) peace”. I was really surprised to see how much sense this diet makes, especially if you have problems with emotional eating.

Advocare Products -  A popular program involving vitamins and supplements. Start with a heathy nutrition and exercise program then add these to your daily routine. You’ll experience healthy weight loss.

The “best weight loss program” - What every weight loss program should be based on…good nutrition and exercise.

6 Week Body Makeover Review - Do you have what it takes to get results on this popular TV weight loss program?

Lose 5 pounds Fast - This weight loss program calls for strict measures but if you desire quick weight loss that’s based on healthy food and exercise, give this a try.

Slim Fast Diet -the focus of this diet are the shakes, bars and other meal replacment products designed to help you cut calories and lose weight fast. But does the weight loss last?

Many people look to their faith in God as a motivator to lose weight. They recognize that they need His help to resist the temptation to overeat. Since there are quite a few of these spiritually-based diet programs available, I’ve developed a christian weight loss program review guide. These diets range from those that recommend healthy eating and exercise to more radical approaches that teach the concept of eating whatever you want and still losing weight.

Cortisol diet pill - Never actually tried the cortisol diet pill but did some research and this is what I came up with.

Hoodia-gordonii - A relatively new weight loss product…don’t hold your breath. Before investing any money into these pills, check out my weight loss program review of hoodia-gordonii.

Weight Loss Program Book Reviews

A weight loss program review wouldn’t be complete without a look at diet books that I’ve read and I’ve tried. A brief synopsis of each unless there’s a link to a full page review.

Fight Fat Over 40 by Pamela Peeke, MD, M.P.H. -  Stress can cause weight gain if it’s not dealt with properly.

The Reality Diet by Steve A. Schnur, M.D.
- Similar to South Beach but bases the science on fiber. His theory is that as long as you eat a certain ratio of fiber to calories, you will lose weight on this program. It gets more complicated once you start following his step by step plan.

The South Beach Diet by Arthur Agatston, M.D. I tried this diet and lost about 8 pounds in 2 weeks. The problem was I couldn’t live on this diet for long. No bread, of course, for 2 weeks but you can add it in on the second phase of the diet. However, if you are addicted to bread like I am, this will be your downfall. If you are going to try this diet, you’ll need to make a commitment to stay away from bread forever.

You On A Diet - Best diet book I’ve ever read because it’s not your typical diet book full of doctor-speak. It’s written for the average person to understand and apply the principles to their life.

Strength-training - This is definitely something that needs to be included in your fitness regime. It works!

Weight Watchers Program - This weight loss program has been around for a long time and many people are successful at it. Good for them! I believe weight loss does not have a “one size fits all” solution. If you are lucky enough to have the body type that responds well to the weight watchers program, you will succeed.
